MEET OUR PASTORS
With over 40 years of faithful service to the city of Tampa, Revs. Fitz and Kathy Conner passionately lead First Pres Tampa. With their roots in Young Life, their ministry focuses on real relationships and real transformation with others through discipleship, biblical application, and helping people grow in their relationship with Jesus.
Earning their degrees together at Fuller Seminary, they continue to be lifelong learners of scripture and avid apprentices of Jesus. In their free time Fitz and Kathy enjoy playing golf, walking their dog, Tally, and spending time with their family.

The book of James is one of the most practical books in the Bible, inviting us to move beyond good intentions and into a life that reflects the character of Jesus. Through everyday challenges—how we handle hardship, the words we speak, the people we serve, the choices we make, and the wisdom we pursue—James reminds us that authentic faith always shows up in real life.
Over five weeks, we'll discover how a relationship with Jesus transforms not just what we think, but how we love, lead, work, speak, and care for others.

GATHER

TIME: 6:00pm - 7:30pm
Everyone is invited to join us for GATHER: A quarterly church WIDE experience. Gather is a chance for us to take all that we love about Deep & Wide and duplicate it as four single evenings throughout the year.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gather our entire church to grow in relationships with each other and Jesus. We'll enjoy dinner together, an engaging teaching series, and the chance to kick around questions in a Life Group setting. Our September topic will be 2 Corinthians 10:5, letting Jesus transform our minds.

REAL WOMEN'S EVENT
First Pres' Women's event, REAL will be held Thursday, October 1st at First Pres Tampa. Women of all ages will gather for an evening of real relationships, encouragement, authenticity and laughter!
Our speaker will be Elizabeth Pehrson! Elizabeth lives in Atlanta, Georgia and is a wife, mother, speaker, podcaster, and founder of The Exchange. The Exchange has grown into a platform where hundreds of women come to connect, grow and learn how to live a more intentional life in Jesus.
Invite a friend or a group of friends to join you for this inspiring night as we encourage women, foster authentic community with each other, and lean into the truth that REAL life comes from Jesus!
